The influence of sewage sludge on oat hay yield at biological recultivation of the municipal solid waste landfill | Влияние осадка сточных вод на урожайность сена овса при биологической рекультивации полигона твердых коммунальных отходов

English. While waste volume is increasing, the number of landfill sites is growing. Overfilled landfills are closed and their further recultivation is required. During the biological reclamation of municipal solid waste landfills (SWL), significant amounts of soil are needed. A possible solution of the problem of disturbed land reclamation may be the use of sewage sludge (SS) from urban wastewater treatment facilities. To determine the effects of SS on oat hay grown on the reclaimed land, an experiment was conducted. The model experiment was carried out in vegetation vessels where oat was grown as annual grass. The following yield of oats hay: control, potting soil (606 t/ha) – 4.51 t/ha; a mixture of SS and potting soil (303 t/ha SS + 303 t/ha potting soil) – 5.08 t/ha; SS (606 t/ha) – 6.02 t/ha. The application of SS provided the yield of aboveground biomass by 33.5% higher than that of the control, SS in mixture with potting soil by 12.6%. The optimal rate of SS application for recultivation of SWL ground should be 606 t/ha.The obtained plant samples were tested for heavy metal content and their nutritional value. The application of SS had not led to a significant change in the agrochemical indices of the soil and had not caused substantial increase in concentration of heavy metals in the soil. Based on the experiment, it may be concluded that sewage sludge is efficient for growing oats taking into account the domestic regulations and standards for sewage application. Thus, the SS from the Barnaul wastewater treatment facilities positively influenced oats cultivation and increased the biomass yield as compared to the control one and may be used for the recultivation of solid municipal waste landfills.

Russian. Вместе с увеличившимися объемами отходов растет количество полигонов. Переполненные полигоны закрываются, и требуется их последующая рекультивация. При биологической рекультивации полигонов твердых коммунальных отходов необходимы значительные объемы грунта. Возможным решением данной задачи по рекультивации нарушенных земель может стать использование осадков сточных вод (ОСВ) городских очистных сооружений. Для выявления влияния применения ОСВ на сено овса рекультивируемых земель полигона был заложен модельный опыт, который был проведен в вегетационных сосудах. Был получен следующий урожай сена овса: контроль, почвогрунт (606 т/га) – 4,51 т/га; cмесь ОСВ и почвогрунта (303 т/га ОСВ + 303 т/га почвогрунта) – 5,08 т/га; ОСВ (606 т/га) – 6,02 т/га. Применение ОСВ обеспечивало урожайность надземной биомассы выше контроля на 33,5%, ОСВ в смеси с почвогрунтом - на 12,6%. Оптимальной нормой внесения ОСВ для рекультивации полигона ТКО следует считать 606 т/га. В полученных растительных образцах были проведены лабораторные исследования на содержание тяжелых металлов и питательность продукции. Внесение ОСВ в почву не привело к существенному изменению агрохимических показателей и существенному увеличению содержания тяжелых металлов. Сделан вывод, что ОСВ эффективен для выращивания овса с учетом регламентов, определенных отечественными нормативами. Таким образом, ОСВ г. Барнаула положительно влияли на развитие овса, повышая выход биомассы по отношению к контролю, и могут использоваться для рекультивации полигонов твердых коммунальных отходов.
