Adaptive ability of sorghum CMS-lines in conditions of the Lower Volga region | Адаптивная способность ЦМС-линий сорго в условиях Нижнего Поволжья

English. In sorghum hybrids selection the identification of the source material combining high yield and adaptation to abiotic and biotic conditions of cultivation is relevant. The methods for determining the adaptive capacity of CMS-lines (linear regression and variation coefficient) make it possible to reveal their response to growing seasons differing in climatic conditions. Observation of grain sorghum plants in the conditions of a field experiment was carried out in 2009– 2018 in the Saratov region. Environmental factors have a less impact on the traits: period of "germination-flowering", plant height, inflorescence length, length and width of the largest leaf (V = 5.0–19.8%). The wide variability of characters (V = 13.3–44.3%) was revealed by the intensity of the initial plant growth, the width of the inflorescence, the area of leaf and grain yield. As a result of the regression analysis, lines characterized by their plasticity and phenotypic stability according to a complex of selection traits were identified. A2 KVV 114 is highly plastic in terms of its economic characteristics. The CMS lines M35-1A Pischevoe 614 and 9E Pischevoe 614 are characterized in phenotypic stability in yield (bi = 1.01–1.07) and plasticity in the length and width of the inflorescence (bi = 1.40–2.49). Sterile lines A3, A4 and 9E Zheltozernoe 10 are capable of forming a grain harvest in more droughty growing seasons (bi = 0.80–0.83) and have phenotypic stability of the traits: the "germination-flowering" period, the height of plants in 30 days after germination and when ripe, the area of the largest leaf. According to the results obtained, it is recommended to include a working collection of maternal forms in the crossing program in order to obtain productive hybrids that are adapted to the conditions of the Lower Volga region.

Russian. В селекции гибридов сорго выявление исходного материала, сочетающего высокую урожайность и адаптированность к абиотическим и биотическим условиям возделывания, является актуальным. Методы определения адаптивной способности ЦМС-линий (коэффициент линейной регрессии и вариации) позволяют выявить их реакцию на различающиеся по климатическим условиям сезоны выращивания. Наблюдение за растениями зернового сорго в условиях полевого опыта проводили в течение 2009–2018 гг. в Саратовской обл. Факторы внешней среды оказывают влияние в меньшей степени на признаки: период "всходы-цветение", высота растений, длина соцветия, длина и ширина наибольшего листа (V = 5,0–19,8%). Широкая вариабельность признаков (V = 13,3–44,3%) отмечена по интенсивности начального роста растений, ширине соцветия, площади листа и урожайности зерна. В результате регрессионного анализа выделены линии, отличающиеся пластичностью и фенотипической стабильностью по комплексу селекционных признаков. Высокопластичной по комплексу хозяйственных признаков является А2 КВВ 114. ЦМС-линии М35-1А Пищевое 614 и 9Е Пищевое 614 отличаются стабильностью по урожайности (bi = 1,01–1,07) и пластичностью по длине и ширине соцветия (bi = 1,40–2,49). Стерильные линии А3, А4 и 9Е Желтозерное 10 способны формировать урожай зерна в более засушливые сезоны выращивания (bi = 0,80– 0,83) и обладают фенотипической стабильностью признаков: период "всходы-цветение", высота растений через 30 дней после всходов и при созревании, площадь наибольшего листа. Согласно полученным результатам рабочую коллекцию материнских форм рекомендуется включать в программу скрещиваний с целью получения продуктивных и адаптированных к условиям Нижнего Поволжья гибридов.
