Express evaluation of strawberry resistance to spring frosts | Ускоренная оценка устойчивости земляники садовой к весенним заморозкам

English. The studies were conducted on the basis of the laboratory of physiology of fruit plant resistance at the Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding in 2016-2019 in conditions of the Oryol region. Strawberry cultivars of different ecological and geographical origin were studied: Kokinskaya Rannya, Rosinka, Solovushka, Urozhainaya TzGL and Tzaritza (Russia); Alba and Marmolada (Italy); Sara (Sweden); Korona and Sonata (Holland). The resistance to spring frosts was evaluated by an artificial freezing method to identify highly resistant strawberry cultivars using climatic chamber. The model of selection and storage of plants was developed in order to bring the conditions of artificial freezing as close as possible to natural conditions. The results of the artificial freezing allowed concluding that the studied strawberry cultivars had high stability to temperature drops to -1.0 deg C and -2.0 deg C. No visual damage of generative organs in the samples was observed. During the simulation of spring frosts, it was noted that a significant difference in the death of strawberry flowers and buds occurred under the influence of temperature -2.5 deg C and 3.0 deg C at a 5% level of significance. The flowers and buds in Kokinskaya Rannya, Rosinka and Tzaritza withstood freezing at -2.5 deg C without damage. The flowers and buds in Kokinskaya Rannya and Tzaritza were not damaged at a temperature of -3.0 deg C. The flowers of Rosinka were insignificantly damaged. We believe strawberry cultivars to be highly resistant to the influence of the temperature of -3.0 deg C at the death of flowers and buds no more than 25% and not more than 10.0% when exposed to a temperature of -2.5 deg C. According to the results of the artificial freezing, there have been identified Russian breeding highly resistant to spring frosts strawberry cultivars of: Kokinskaya Rannya, Rosinka and Tzaritza.

Russian. Исследования проводили на базе лаборатории физиологии устойчивости плодовых растений Всероссийского НИИ селекции плодовых культур в 2016–2019 гг. в условиях Орловской области. Объектами исследований служили сорта земляники садовой различного эколого-географического происхождения: Кокинская ранняя, Росинка, Соловушка, Урожайная ЦГЛ, Царица (Россия); Alba, Marmolada (Италия); Sara (Швеция); Korona, Sonata (Голландия). Методом искусственного промораживания провели оценку устойчивости к весенним заморозкам с целью выделения высокоустойчивых сортов земляники с использованием климатической камеры. Была разработана модель отбора и хранения растений для того, чтобы максимально приблизить условия искусственного промораживания к естественным. Результаты искусственного промораживания позволили заключить, что изученные сорта земляники садовой обладают высокой устойчивостью к понижению температуры до -1,0 град. С и -2,0 град. С. Видимые повреждения генеративных органов у опытных образцов отсутствовали. При моделировании весенних заморозков отмечено, что существенное различие в гибели цветков и бутонов земляники садовой наступало при воздействии температур -2,5 град. С и -3,0 град. С на 5%-ном уровне значимости. У сортов Кокинская ранняя, Росинка, Царица цветки и бутоны выдерживали промораживание при -2,5 град. С без повреждений. Цветки и бутоны у Кокинской ранней и Царицы не повредились и при -3,0 град. С. У сорта Росинка цветки повредились незначительно. Сорта землянки садовой считали высокоустойчивыми к действию температуры -3,0 град. С при гибели цветков и бутонов не более 25% и не более 10,0% при воздействии температуры -2,5 град. С. По результатам искусственного промораживания выделили высокоустойчивые к весенним заморозкам сорта земляники садовой российской селекции – Кокинская ранняя, Росинка, Царица.
