The Marais Breton Loire-Atlantique (Western France): a forgotten marsh labelled as a landscape | Le Marais Breton Loire-Atlantique : la qualification paysagère d'un marais oublié

English. Not only areas of outstanding value may be labelled as landscapes : ordinary rural areas may also be involved in a process of landscape qualification, leading to public actions. On the basis of interviews performed with institutional actors intervening in the Marais Breton Loire-Atlantique (Western France), a phenomenological approach shows the emergence of a landscape " labellisation " regarding an area that remained of little relevance for these actors until present. In the context of the Marais Breton, the authors wonder about the signs that may reveal a consequence usually araising when the landscape becomes an object for policies of intervention : the constitution of the area as a " museum ".

Loin de ne concerner que des espaces " remarquables " à un titre ou à un autre, un processus de qualification paysagère tourné vers l'action publique peut également concerner des espaces ruraux ordinaires. Sur la base d'une enquête auprès des acteurs institutionnels intervenant sur le Marais Breton Loire-Atlantique, une approche phénoménologique montre l'émergence d'une qualification paysagère à propos d'un espace jusqu'à présent resté peu pertinent pour ces acteurs en termes d'intervention. Concernant toujours le Marais Breton, les auteurs s'interrogent sur les signes annonciateurs d'une conséquence habituellement inhérente à la constitution du paysage en tant qu'objet d'intervention publique : la mise en musée de l'espace.
