French. L'apparition d'instabilités dans les milieux granulaires a été examinée à partir de la simulation de chemins triaxiaux drainés, en utilisant le Modèle Micro-Directionnel. Les simulations ont confirmé l'existence de directions de sollicitation le long desquelles le travail du second ordre s'annulait. Une analyse micro-mécanique a permis de relier ceci à la nature du modèle local de contact.

Existence of material instability was investigated from the simulation of drained triaxial paths and of Gudehus' envelopes-responses, by using the micro-directional model. These simulations have revealed that some loading directions along with the second order work vanishes can be exhibited. A micro-mechanical analysis has made it possible to relate this phenomenon to microscopic origins.
