Contamination of feed for dairy cows with mycotoxins is very common. The objective of this paper is to present the main mycotoxins found in these feeds. The effects of mycotoxins in cattle are recalled. The diagnosis of mycotoxicosis is mainly based on the determination of mycotoxins in the feed supplied. Treatment measures are essentially removal of contaminated feeds and use of products for detoxification of the mycotoxins. Preventive measures mainly concern the methods of management of plants used to feed animals and storage practices and in particular the production and use of silage.
