Dynamics of storability and quality of raw Feijoa in the humid subtropical landscape of West Georgia.
2020
Based on the eco-chemical examination methodology, the qualitative indicators of the raw Feijoa products have been studied. It was found that in the subtropical zone of the Kolkheti lowland, where Feijoa is a random plant, it is characterized by high adaptation degree to abiotic factors and varietal resistance, since its storability, the limit of mineral and biochemical standard range in dynamics is fully complied with and, most importantly, does not contain toxic (NO3) and highly toxic elements (Pb, Hg, As, Cd). Thus, Feijoa is biologically viable and environmentally friendly.
