The article demonstrates the possibility of applying straws on chernozemшс soils without filling them with nitrogen. Applied in this way, 4 t/ha ща straw reduced the mineralization of the soil humus by about 350 kg/t and provided a specific production increase of 65 to 131 kg/t cereal units. When combining straws with nitrogen-containing fertilizers, the yield increased by 5 - 12 times, and the profit - by 7 - 20 times. A synergy phenomenon has been established since the combined incorporation of straws with chemical fertilizers manifested by the spectacular growth of the crops.
