Medicinal plants include those plant species whose one or more parts containbiologically active substances that can be used for therapeutic purposes or forchemical pharmaceutical synthesis. In the food industry, medicinal and aromaticherbs are used as spices and preservatives. Herbal extracts are obtained bycontacting the crushed parts of the plant with an extraction solvent. Differentextraction methods give different yields and composition of extracted components.Extraction temperature and time are important factors that influence theextraction process. For these terrorist reasons, three methods of extraction of thesame plant material of the virak plant were made and the content of vitamin C asan important bioactive component in the plant was monitored.
