The agriculture of our society is undergoing a series of changes resulting from the transformation of structural and proprietary relations, the tendency to build a competitive and efficient market economy system, and the tendency to join the European Union. However, there is a whole range of sensitive points in the transformation of Serbian agriculture, which is reflected in the unfavorable ownership structure of farms, the growth of non-cultivated areas, and problems resulting from the privatization process. Using various sources of obtaining data, this paper aims to sociologically interpret some of these problems, with particular reference to the methods of implementing the privatization process and the new economic and social class of the "landowners", while taking into consideration the wider social context and the consequence of the privatization process of social agricultural enterprises. One such consequence is the new structure of agriculture of the modern Serbian society, which is composed of four classes.
