Wheat and corn are main source of carbohydrates in the human and domesticanimals diet. Growing need for the production of quality proteins dictates the useof other cereals for this purpose. Cyprinids (Cyprinidae) are the most common fishin world aquaculture. In the numerous experiments were performed with thereplacement of wheat and corn with other cereals in feed mixtures for thesespecies. It has been established that the value of cereals for this purpose can beranked: wheat > triticale > corn > barley > rye > sorghum > millet.
