Digitalization in special scientific libraries: opportunities and challenges | Цифровизация в отраслевых научных библиотеках: перспективы и проблемы

English. The paper considers problems existing in scientific agricultural libraries in the digital era. It notes that the libraries of research institutions of the agro-industrial complex feel the lack of human resources, financing, technological infrastructure thereby hampering their complete inclusion into the digitalization process. According to the data for 2018-2019, an average library of AIC research institutions accounts about 1.13 person. In this situation the libraries can create own electronic catalogs in the Central Catalog of the Libraries of the AIC being created with the frames of the Centralized Electronic Library System (CELS) of AIC, which purpose is to consolidate libraries and form a single information space of the industry. The author points out that lots of libraries have been long creating electronic information recourses, introduce remote services that allow receiving bibliographic and abstract information distantly without physically visiting libraries. The article emphasizes the significance of the united special information library space, proposes and ways to form it.

Russian. Рассмотрены проблемы, существующие в научных с.-х. библиотеках в цифровую эпоху. Отмечается, что библиотеки научно-исследовательских учреждений агропромышленного комплекса испытывают недостаток в кадрах, финансировании, техническом оснащении, что мешает полноценному включению их в процесс цифровизации. По данным за 2018-2019 гг., в среднем на одну библиотеку НИУ АПК приходится примерно 1,13 чел. В этой ситуации библиотеки могут создавать свои электронные каталоги в Сводном каталоге библиотек АПК, формируемом в рамках Централизованной электронной библиотечной системы (ЦЭБС) АПК, целью которой является консолидация библиотек и создание единого информационного пространства отрасли. Отмечается, что во многих библиотеках давно создаются электронные информационные ресурсы, внедряются дистанционные формы обслуживания, позволяющие получить библиографическую и реферативную информацию удаленно, без физического посещения библиотеки. Подчеркивается значение единого отраслевого информационного библиотечного пространства и предложены пути его формирования.
