FELUCENE P-2 FEED COMPLEX IN THE DIET OF DOMESTICATED OSTRICHES

The article contains a study to determine the effect of the Felucene P-2 feed complex on the growth and development ofostriches as well as on the meat quality and blood indicators. The experiment was conducted on two groups of ostriches: the firstgroup received a standard diet, while the second group's diet included Felucene P-2. The results of the study demonstrate thatFelucene P-2 is an effective, domestically produced feed additive, which allows for an increase in the growth and development ofyoung ostriches under equal conditions of feeding and maintenance. During the entire growing period, the average daily increasein group I amounted to 307.5 g, and in group II it equaled 353.4 g. At 5-8 months of age the ostriches demonstrate maximumgrowth activity. During this period, the average daily gain of the ostriches was in the range of 375 - 453 g.
