THE CURRENT STATE AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CROP PRODUCTION INDUSTRY IN ZABAYKALSKY KRAI

The article examines the current state of the crop production industry of Zabaykalsky Krai. The current study conducts ananalysis of using land an irreplaceable resource and the main means of production in agriculture, particularly for agriculturalpurposes. The study determines that agricultural land accounts for 18.5% of the land fund of the territory under study. The authorsexamine the production of the main agricultural crops in the context of farm categories. 68% of agricultural products are producedin the agricultural enterprises of the region. Also, the article includes a forecast of the development of the crop productionindustry in the region on the basis of a retrospective analysis and existing programs for the development of agricultural productionand rural areas. Conclusions are drawn about the prospects for the development of the industry in the current economic context.
