Ornamental plants used for in Denizli

The aim of this study to detect the properties and locations of ornamental plants which were used in recreations areas in Merkezefendi (Denizli) and Pamukkale (Denizli) counties between 2014 and 2016.Survey area was formed by Adalet Park, Çamlık park, Eskihisar Park, Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu Park, Servergazi park, Sümer Park and Yunus Emre Park. The allergenic properties, heights, sections, flower colors, flowering times, families, forms and origins of inspected plant taxa, and their distributions in Turkey were detected. As a result of this research, 31 orders, 30 cultivars belonging to 58 families, 1 subspecies, 146 plant species and so overall 165 taxa were determined. Of those taxa, 58 are tress, 57 are bushes, 24 are flowers and herbs, 12 are groundcover, 7 are rock and wetland plants and 7 are clutching and creeping plants. 21 of teh taxa are gymnosperm and 144 of them are angiosperms. Of those angiosperm, 19 are monocots and 125 are dicots. As a consequence of the whole study, 14 of 165 plants were defined as allergenic.
