2013
Asici, A.
This study aimed to determine of organic acid, vitamin C macro and micro nutrients contents of some pomegranate genotypes (47 MAR 01, 47 MAR 02, 47 MAR 03, 47 MAR 04, 47 MAR 05, 47 MAR 06, 47 MAR 07, 47 MAR 08, 47 MAR 09, 47 MAR 10, 47 MAR 11, 47 MAR 12, 47 MAR 13, 47 MAR 14, 47 MAR 15, 47 MAR 16, 47 MAR 17, 47 MAR 18, 47 MAR 19, 47 MAR 20, 47 MAR 21) are grown in Mardin. In the study, the juices of studied pomegranate genotypes, phosphorus content ranged between 943.684-329.123 ppm; potassium content ranged between 985.600-93.375 ppm; calcium content ranged between 142.703-63.477 ppm. It was determined that iron content ranged between 41.741-1.337 ppm; manganese content ranged between 3.346-0.281 ppm; zinc content ranged between 0.223-0.050 ppm; copper content ranged between 0.253-2.388 ppm; and magnesium content ranged 92.948-38.672 ppm. Oxalic acid content of pomegranate genotypes? juices ranged between 0.473-0.017 g/l; malic acid content ranged between 2.718-1.008 g/l; citric acid content ranged between 6.408-0.661 g/l; succinic acid content ranged between 0.396-0.059 g/l; fumaric acid content ranged between 0.882-0.044 g/l; and tartaric acid content ranged between 0.094-0.029 g/l.Being rich for minerals and organic acids makes pomegranate an important source in fruit processing industry. Due to yield levels, physical and chemical properties of the genotypes it is important to compile them as standard cultivars.
