The same treatments on improving rooting of american grapevine rootstocks
2014
Tekeli, F.
This study was carried out in order to investigate of effects of bottom heating, water soaking and different doses indole 3-butyric acid (0, 1000, 2000 and 3000 ppm) on rooting rate (%), root number (n) and root length (cm), shooting rate (%) and shoot length (cm) in 110 R, 1103 P, 140 Ru, 5 BB, 41 B and 99 R American grapevine rootstocks. The study was performed using mist system in a glasshouse. Perlite was used as rooting media in the experiment. According to the results, effects of rootstocks were found important statistically. The best results were taken in terms of rooting rate in 5 BB (% 98.54), 41 B (96.04 %), 99 R (91.66 %) and 1103 P (88.54 %); in respect of number of roots in 1103 P (16.77 number); in respect of root lengths in 41 B (6.93 cm), 1103 P (6.67 cm), 5 BB (6.56 cm); in respect of shooting rate in 1103 P (53.49 %), 99 R (53.41%), 140 Ru (53.05 %), 5 BB (50.57 %), 110 R (48.47 %); in respect of shoot lenghts in 5 BB (12.45 cm), 140 Ru (11.81 cm), 1103 P (11.56 cm), 110 R (10.42 cm), 41 B (10.13 cm) rootstocks. The best results in the research were obtained in terms of rooting rate in bottom heating+water soaking (97.64 %); in respect of number of root in bottom heating+water soaking (16.38 number), bottom unheating+water soaking (13.55 number) and bottom heating+not water soaking (11.63 number); in respect of root length in bottom heating+water soaking (6.81 cm), bottom unheating+water soaking (6.28 cm), bottom heating+not water soaking (6.07 cm); in respect of shooting rate in bottom heating+water soaking (% 53.84), bottom unheating+water soaking (% 51.82), bottom heating+not water soaking (% 50.36); in respect of shoot length in bottom heating+water soaking (12.25 cm). Rooting rate, root number, root length and shooting rate higher than control application in IBA application. However, it was determined that difference between the hormone doses statistically non-significant.
