The comparison of chosen characters of malting quality index in the collection of winter barley genetic resources

New assessions are included into the collection of winter barley (Hordeum L.) genetic resources every year. The objective of the present study was the evaluation of 14 new cultivars of winter barley genetic resources with potential of malting quality according to biological and agronomic characters. These characters are used for basic description of the different genotypes in the collection in the field trials during three years. After harvest of grain were analyzed during 2 years chosen characters of malting quality index. Custer analysis based on data of microsatellite analysis divided 56 selected genotypes ino four groups. Results pointed at a wide genepool of winter barely varieties with potential use in malting.
