Background: This research was carried out in the forest of Kelubi Village, Belitong Island. The purpose of this research aimed to provide information about the presence of macroscopic fungi in Belitong Island and study of its potential utilization in the future. Methods: This research was divided into three stages namely: observation, identification, and study of macroscopic fungi in term of potential utilization. Results: A total of 12 macro fungi were identified and described in this study. The macrofungi were divided into 6 order and 12 famili. All mushrooms included in the two phyla, Basidiomycota and Ascomycota, namely: Cyathus sp., Bolbitius sp., Cortinarius sp.1, Cortinarius sp.2, Entoloma sp., Cyptotrama sp., Collybia sp., Auricularia sp., Gastroboletus sp., Craterellus sp., Lentinus sp., and Daldinia sp. The macro fungi found is known to have potential for food, medicine, mycorrhizal, and also plays an important role as a decomposer in the ecosystem Conclusions: Belitong Island has unique types of macro fungi and has never been described in the form of scientific reports. Therefore, further research is needed in various regions in order to determine the diversity and potential use of the existing macro fungi.
