Degradation of Georgia's glacial basins due to current climate change.

The issue of degradation of glacial basins in Georgia due to current climate change is discussed by estimating the change in the area of glacial basins and the number of glaciers. Calculations have shown that the area of glaciations and the number of glaciers in Georgia has decreased and this decrease is more intense in Eastern Georgia than in Western Georgia. Tab. 6, Ref. 16.
