The agrobiodiversity of Georgian poultry, the need to create a unified system for the conservation of genetic resources of local birds, the regulation of the relevant legal framework are discussed. The list of measures necessary for the conservation of biological material for conservation of various species of agricultural poultry in the cryobank of genetic resources: selection of donors, a certain number of individual donors, selection of a certain type and material for conservation, compliance with veterinary and other requirements is given. Global trends in cryopreservation of bird genetic resources are also discussed. Ref. 12.
