The aim of this study was to find out whether and to what extent the product produced in Latvia for promoting plant growth – Green Cytokinin – affects the morphological indicators and yield of winter rapeseed. Field trials are set up in the conventional field of the AREI Priekuļi Research Centre. In each of the research years, the pre-plant and soil agrochemical indicators were different (Table 1). In both trial years, the relevant crop fields had good organic matter and available phosphorus and potassium content suitable for rapeseed cultivation. In the test field in 2021, the soil was more acidic than optimally required. The variety ‘Ragnar’ is included in the study. The following variants were compared: 1) Control (K) – without treatment with Green Cytokinin (GC); 2) Pretreatment of the soil with Formula Eco 10 L haE−1 + seed treatment with GC 0.5 L haE−1 + treatment with GC at the beginning of flower bud formation (FGC); 3) Seed treatment with GC 0.5 L haE−1 + treatment with GC during flower bud formation. In order to determine the effect of the plant growth promoter GC, at the end of the vegetation period in autumn, the diameter of the root neck and the length of the plant were measured for ten plants from each plot. On the other hand, in spring, when the vegetation resumes, the number of overwintering plants per square m was recorded, and at the end of rapeseed development, the number of productive pods and the yield. The tested product produced in Latvia for the promotion of plant growth – Green Cytokinin – affects the morphological indicators of winter rape. The plants treated with the preparation had a larger diameter of the root neck before wintering and more productive pods. In the variants with the use of the preparation, the yield was higher in both years than in the control variant, however, a significant (α = 0.05) positive effect on the yield was not found each year.
