The digital terrain model is a core product in the geospatial field. Its generation can be made from cartographic products in raster or vector format, from LiDAR measurements or by derivation from photogrammetric images. Regardless of the source of the data, the generation flow used and the correct evaluation of the quality of the models are important. The National Cartography Center carries out the project of updating the MDT at the level of the whole country based on the data from its own projects or those of the Agency for Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising and based on the data from the reception of the specialized works. This paper describes the three versions of MDT made, and as a case study are treated in detail two tiles for which the quality of the final product is evaluated.
