The digestibility of silage components from corn in the phase of waxy ripeness of grains depends significantly on the protein content and composition, on the level of digestibility of crude fiber. So, when the moisture content of the original green mass is 70-74%, the mid-ripening hybrids (FAO 380-390) contained 4.1-5.1% lignin, the protein splitting being 38.1-41.1%. At the same time, the silage contained up to 6.35-6.48% starch (20.9-21.4% dry matter), and the localization of lignin in the epidermis and conduction beams was reduced in specialized silage hybrids.
