In organic farming, only fertilizers from natural organic sources are allowed to be used on crops. However, most organic fertilizers contain low nutrient content. Besides nitrogen (N), P and K fertilizers are essential to support plant growth. With soil that has no ability to replace P and K taken up by plants, a supply of P and K will be required in organic farming systems. This paper discuss the effects of application of compost with different organic matter namely chicken dung, bokashi mixed with effective microbe and bokashi only, on soil P and K. From the two seasons study on kangkung (Ipomoea aquatica) and lettuce (Latuca sativa) as test crops, application of compost of bokashi mixed with effective microbe (Bokashi+EM) increased P concentration in the soil up to 54.8% and K increased up to 33.25%.
