The paper presents the results of a record production of oil crops in the world and Serbia. However, the productionof oil crops in the EU had a decline of 10%. The record production was realized in Serbia, with the help of the fertileand well-prepared soil, perfect weather conditions and agrotehnics which was adapted to the circumstances. Recordproduction opens up opportunities for increasing exports of agricultural products, and therefore the products of oil industry and oil crops. The first results in 2017 predict an increase in the surplus in foreign trade of agricultural productsSerbia. Socio-political system and movements have an influence on economic policy and agricultural policy
