Influence of the development of erosion processes on the content and reserves of organic matter, the yield of winter wheat, and motley grass–cereal association cultivated on dark chestnut soils | Влияние развития эрозионных процессов на содержание и запасы органического вещества, урожайность озимой пшеницы и разнотравно-злаковых ассоциаций, возделываемых на темно-каштановых почвах

The study was aimed to determine changes in the morphological characteristics of dark chestnut soils, the content of organic matter, and the yield of winter wheat due to the development of erosion processes. It is necessary to establish the possibility of the inclusion of such kinds of soils in arable land. The study was carried out in 2018–2020 in the Stavropol Territory. The soil of the test plot was dark chestnut calcareous. The period of arable land use was 64 years. For the study, a slope with a steepness of 4.2 deg and a length of 1220 m was chosen. In the study, two factors were studied: A – the type of land (wild land and arable land), B – the type of relief (flatland, steep slope, foot of the slope, eluvial landscape). During the years of the study, winter wheat of Tanya variety was grown on the arable land, and motley grass – cereal association grew on wildlands. The use of dark chestnut soils as arable land led to a decrease in organic matter, due to intense mineralization, in comparison with wildlands, as well as to a decrease in the thickness of the pedologic horizons due to the development of water and wind erosion. The yield of motley grass grasses associations on wildlands was within 1.10–1.38 t/ha, and their productivity was 385–483 fodder units/ha. The highest yield on arable land over the years of the study was noted in a key area of the eluvial landscape (zone with an accumulative function) – 4.86 t/ha. At the foot of the slope (zone with a partially accumulative function) and on the flatland (zone of deflation development), it was 4.12–4.22 t/ha, on a steep slope (zone of water erosion) – 3.24 t/ha. The productivity of 1 ha of arable land was 9-11 times higher than that of wildlands.

Исследования проводили с целью определения изменений морфологических признаков темно-каштановых почв, содержания органического вещества и урожайности озимой пшеницы из-за развития эрозионных процессов для установления возможности их вовлечения в пашню. Работу выполняли в 2018–2020 гг. в Ставропольском крае. Почва опытного участка – темно-каштановая карбонатная, используемая в пашне 64 года. Для проведения исследования был выбран склон крутизной 4,2 градусов и длиной 1220 м. В опыте изучали следующие варианты: вид угодий (фактор А) – целина, пашня; тип рельефа (фактор В) – плакор, крутой склон, подножье склона, элювиальный ландшафт). На пашне в годы исследования выращивали сорт озимой пшеницы Таня, на целине произрастали разнотравно-злаковые ассоциации. Вовлечение темно-каштановых почв в пашню привело к снижению содержания органического вещества вследствие интенсивной минерализации, по сравнению с целиной, а также к уменьшению мощности почвенных горизонтов в связи с развитием водной и ветровой эрозии. Урожайность разнотравно-злаковых ассоциаций на целине находилась в пределах 1,10…1,38 т/га, а их продуктивность составляла 385…483 корм. ед./га. Самая высокая урожайность на пашне за годы исследования отмечена в условиях ключевого участка элювиального ландшафта (зона с аккумулятивной функцией) – 4,86 т/га. У подножья склона (зона с частично аккумулятивной функцией) и на плакоре (зона развития дефляции) она составляла 4,12…4,22 т/га, на крутом склоне (зона водной эрозии) – 3,24 т/га. Продуктивность 1 га пашни была выше, чем целинных угодий, в 9…11 раз.
