In the modern conditions, the issue of expanding and developing the world market for mineral fertilizers is becoming increasingly important on a global scale due to the impact on the market of such macroeconomic factors as an increase in the number and income of the population, an increase in biofuel production, the need to increase the productivity of decreasing arable land. There has been carried out an analysis of the features of the dynamics and structure of supply and demand, production and trade, as well as there have been studied the factors of development of the world market of mineral fertilizers and its individual segments. In the world market, a steady upward trend in demand for mineral fertilizers has been revealed. Production is increasingly moving to developing countries in order to bring capacities closer to the regions of consumption of products. There is a high dependence of both producers and importers of mineral fertilizers on foreign trade due to the geographical separation of production and consumption. At the same time, the change in the availability of the main factors of production and the parameters of the solvency of the main consumers, as well as institutional factors in individual countries and regions, lead to an aggravation of competition and the transformation of trade flows in the world market. The main trend that ensures the strengthening of positions in traditional markets and the development of new niches is the diversification of production. Based on the results of the study, the main trends typical for the world mineral fertilizers market in general and its individual segments, in particular, have been identified. Further development and improvement of the mechanisms for the functioning of the mineral fertilizers market acts as one of the most important areas for ensuring food security, since it contributes to increasing the sustainability and efficiency of agricultural production.

В современных условиях вопрос расширения и развития мирового рынка минеральных удобрений приобретает все большую значимость в глобальном масштабе в связи с воздействием на рынок таких макроэкономических факторов, как увеличение численности и доходов населения, рост производства биотоплива, необходимость увеличения продуктивности уменьшающихся площадей пахотных земель. Проведен анализ особенностей динамики и структуры спроса и предложения, производства и торговли, а также изучены факторы развития мирового рынка минеральных удобрений и его отдельных сегментов. На мировом рынке выявлена устойчивая тенденция роста спроса на минеральные удобрения. Производство все больше перемещается в развивающиеся страны с целью приблизить мощности к регионам потребления продукции. Отмечается высокая зависимость как продуцентов, так и импортеров минеральных удобрений от внешней торговли в связи с географическим разделением производства и потребления. Вместе с тем изменение доступности основных факторов производства и параметров платежеспособности основных потребителей, а также институциональных факторов в отдельных странах и регионах приводят к обострению конкурентной борьбы и трансформации торговых потоков на мировом рынке.
