There were studied the general physical properties and water-physical constants, as well as humidity regimes in leached chernozem under honeysuckle plantations to substantiate irrigation reclamation in the conditions of the Altai Territory. In the territory of the Research Institute of Gardening in Siberia, drip irrigation is performed in the areas under garden strawberries and other berry crops. Nevertheless, the hydro- and thermophysical regimes in soil profiles under berry crops are understudied. The resulting data indicate that the weather conditions of 2012 were diverse. A small amount of snow caused poor soil moisture at the beginning of the growing season. There was very little rain in the spring and summer. The rainfall of July reduced the water deficit in the soil, but the summer turned out to be extremely hot with an air maximum temperature of 34 deg. C. The moisture content of the arable humus horizon Ap (0-20 cm) throughout the growing season was unsatisfactory. In the AB horizon, the amount of productive moisture in July dropped to the area of negative values. There was soil moisture deficiency in the illuvial layer and in the parent rock. In the summer of 2014, there was also a drought. It was in May only when the productive moisture storage in the chernozem profile under honeysuckle plantations was satisfactory. But already in mid-June in the topsoil, it dropped to 2 mm. In the illuvial horizon B (50-75 cm) and in the parent rock material, the moisture conditions were very poor. In one meter soil layer, the moisture deficit reached 180 mm by July 10; that required irrigation of at least the arable layer of chernozem. Thus, the peculiarities of weather conditions on the dry years of observations were reflected in the processes of accumulation and migration of soil moisture in the profile of chernozems under the berry crop. As a result, the hot dry conditions of the studied years in the absence of irrigation significantly worsened the taste quality of berries due to the presence of bitterness, and reduced the normal weight of fruits one-and-a-half times.

Изучали общие физические свойства и водно-физические постоянные, а также режимы влажности в черноземе выщелоченном под насаждениями жимолости для обоснования оросительных мелиораций в условиях Алтайского края. Так, на территории НИИ садоводства Сибири организовано капельное орошение на участках, занятых земляникой садовой и другими ягодными культурами. Тем не менее исследований гидро- и теплофизических режимов в почвенных профилях под ягодными культурами весьма мало. Полученные данные свидетельствуют о том, что погодные условия 2012 г. были неоднозначными. Малое количество снега обусловило слабое увлажнение почвы в начале вегетации. В весенне-летний период выпало крайне мало дождей. Июльские осадки снизили водный дефицит, возникший в почве, но лето оказалось экстремально жарким при температурном максимуме воздуха, равном 34 град. C. Увлажнение гумусового горизонта Ап (0-20 см) в течение всей вегетации было неудовлетворительным. В горизонте АВ (20-50 см) количество продуктивной влаги в июле опустилось в область отрицательных значений. В иллювиальном слое и в почвообразующей породе ощущался дефицит почвенной влаги. Летом 2014 г. также наблюдалась засуха. Только в мае запасы продуктивной влаги в профиле чернозема под насаждениями жимолости оказались удовлетворительными. Но уже в середине июня в пахотном слое почвы они опустились до 2 мм. В иллювиальном горизонте В (50-75 см) и почвообразующей породе условия увлажнения были очень плохими. Для почвенной толщи, мощностью 1 м, дефицит влаги достиг к 10 июля 180 мм, что требовало орошения хотя бы пахотного слоя чернозема. Таким образом, особенности погодных условий в засушливые годы наблюдений отразились на процессах аккумуляции и миграции почвенной влаги в профиле черноземов под ягодной культурой. В итоге жаркие сухие условия изученных годов в отсутствии орошения значительно ухудшили вкусовые качества ягод, что обусловлено наличием в них горечи и снижением обычной массы плодов в 1,5 раза.
