The effectiveness of the timing of sowing peas in adaptive agriculture of the steppe zone of Kabardino-Balkaria | Эффективность сроков посева гороха в адаптивном земледелии степной зоны Кабардино-Балкарии

Приведены результаты трехлетнего (2018-2020 гг.) исследования, в котором изучали влияние различных сроков посева гороха сорта Старт на урожайность зерна в богарных условиях степной зоны Кабардино-Балкарии. Цель исследований – выявить по комплексу хозяйственно-экономических параметров оптимальные сроки посева гороха в адаптивном земледелии КБР. Агротехника возделывания гороха – общепринятая для региона, за исключением изучаемых элементов. Повторность опыта четырёхкратная. Схема опыта включала: 1-й срок посева – третья декада марта (контрольный вариант); 2-й срок посева – вторая декада марта; 3-й срок посева – первая декада марта. В результате исследований установлена более высокая хозяйственная эффективность посева гороха в первую и вторую декады марта в сравнении с посевом в рекомендуемый срок - в третью декаду, где получены прибавки урожая 0,2 и 0,4 т/га зерна гороха в среднем за годы исследований. Самая высокая урожайность гороха 2,6 т/га была при посеве в первую декаду марта, а при посеве во вторую декаду она составила 2,4 т/га. Показатели экономической эффективности возделывания гороха в различные сроки посева (себестоимость зерна, условно чистый доход и рентабельность) также были в пользу ранних сроков посева – первой - второй декады марта. В опыте рентабельность возделывания гороха при посеве в 1-й, 2-й и 3-й сроки посева составила 80, 86, и 85% соответственно. Таким образом, посев гороха в ранние сроки (в первую - вторую декада марта), учитывая дороговизну удобрений и острый дефицит влаги, вызванный повсеместным потеплением климата за последние годы, является экономически оправданным приёмом повышения его урожайности в адаптивно-ландшафтном земледелии степной зоны Кабардино-Балкарии.

English. The article presents the results of a three-year (2018-2020) study of the influence of different sowing dates of 'Start' pea variety on grain yield in rainfed conditions of the steppe zone of Kabardino-Balkaria (KBR). The purpose of the research is to identify the optimal timing for sowing peas in the adaptive agriculture of the KBR based on a set of economic parameters. Pea cultivation method is the one generally accepted for the region, with the exception of the studied elements. The experiment was repeated four times. The scheme of the experiment included the following variants: 1st sowing date in the third ten days of March (control variant); 2nd sowing date in the second ten days of March; the 3rd sowing date in the first ten days of March. As the research result, a higher economic efficiency of sowing peas in the first and second ten dayss of March was established in comparison with sowing in the recommended period, i.e. in the third ten days, where pea grain yield increases of 0.2 and 0.4 t/ha were obtained on average over the years of the research. The highest pea yield of 2.6 t/ha was obtained when the crop was sown in the first ten days of March; and it was of 2.4 t/ha in result of sowing in the second ten days. Indicators of economic efficiency of pea cultivation at different sowing dates (grain cost, conditionally net income and profitability) were also in favor of earlier sowing dates, namely the first or second ten days of March. So, in the experiment, the profitability levels of pea cultivation when sowing in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sowing terms were of: 80, 86, and 85%, respectively. Thus, earlier pea sowing in the first or second ten days of March, keeping in mind the high cost of fertilizers and acute moisture shortage caused by widespread climate warming in recent years, is an economically justified method of increasing crop yield under conditions of adaptive landscape agriculture of the steppe zone of KBR.
