The specifics of UDC indexing of documents on the food and processing industry in the Central Scientific Agriculture Library (CSAL) (on the example of processing animal products) have been considered. Examples of processing literature in this subject area using UDC Industry Work Tables for agribusiness (IWT) are given. The need to improve the IWT, as well as operations being conducted in this direction, is emphasized.

Рассмотрена специфика индексирования по УДК документов по пищевой и перерабатывающей промышленности в Центральной научной с.-х. библиотеке (ЦНСХБ) (на примере переработки животноводческой продукции). Приведены примеры обработки литературы по данной тематике с использованием Отраслевых рабочих таблиц по УДК для АПК (ОРТ). Подчеркнута необходимость совершенствования ОРТ и обозначены проводимые в этом направлении действия.
