Assessment of low-growing clonal rootstocks of apple trees among the layering mother plants under the conditions of protected ground | Оценка слаборослых клоновых подвоев яблони в отводковом маточнике защищенного грунта

The article presents data on the economic and biological assessment of low-growing clonal rootstocks of apple trees growing among the layering mother plants under the conditions of protected ground. The studies were carried out in 2020-2021 in the educational and experimental garden of St. Petersburg State Agrarian University (SPbSAU). The objects of the study were the following 9 forms of low-growing clonal apple tree rootstocks bred at Michurinsky State Agrarian University: Malysh Budagovskogo, 54-118, 57-490, 62-223, 62-396, 64-143, 67-5(32), 70-6-8, 71 -3-150. Rootstock forms 62-396, 54-118 and 57-490 had been previously studied at St. Petersburg State Agrarian University. Other forms of rootstocks were tested for the first time in the Leningrad region. The zoned rootstock 54-118 served as the control. The studies were carried out according to the generally accepted methodology for horticulture "Program and methodology for the study of variety of fruit, berry and nut crops, 1999". The laying of the layering mother plants of clonal apple rootstocks was carried out in the spring of 2020 in a carbonate-coated greenhouse. The mother plant type is vertical. Landing pattern is 0.2 x 0.5 m. The results of phenological observations showed that all the studied low-growing apple clonal rootstocks among the mother plants correspond to the seasonal rhythms of plant development and form layers under conditions of protected ground. The mother bushes of apple clonal rootstocks 62-396 and 62-223 formed the highest layers. The weakest branching of layers was noted for rootstocks 67-5(32), 71-3-150, 70-6-8 (1.0-1.2 points). Layers of all studied clonal rootstocks were characterized by a well-developed root system. The average root length of layering varied from 21.9 cm (Malysh Budagovskogo) to 38.1 cm (64-143). The highest yield of 1st grade layers (more than 80%) was formed by mother bushes of following rootstocks: 63-396, 62-223, 54-118, 64-143. The yield of layers of the 2nd grade varied from 1.7% (62-396) to 34.5% (Malysh Budagovskogo). The lowest output of non-standard layers (less than 1%) was observed among forms 62-396 and 57-490.

Russian. Представлены результаты хозяйственно-биологической оценки слаборослых клоновых подвоев яблони в отводковом маточнике защищенного грунта. Исследования проведены в 2020-2021 гг. в учебно-опытном саду Санкт-Петербургского государственного аграрного университета (СПбГАУ). Объектами исследования являлись 9 форм слаборослых клоновых подвоев яблони селекции Мичуринского ГАУ: Малыш Будаговского, 54-118, 57-490, 62-223, 62-396, 64-143, 67-5(32), 70-6-8, 71-3-150. Формы подвоев 62-396, 54-118 и 57-490 ранее изучались в СПбГАУ. Остальные формы подвоев впервые испытывались в Ленинградской области. Контролем служил районированный подвой 54-118. Исследования проводили согласно общепринятой методике по садоводству "Программа и методика сортоизучения плодовых, ягодных и орехоплодных культур, 1999". Закладка отводкового маточника клоновых подвоев яблони произведена весной 2020 г. в теплице с карбонатным покрытием. Тип маточника – вертикальный. Схема посадки 0,2 х 0,5 м. Результаты фенологических наблюдений показали, что все изучаемые слаборослые клоновые подвои яблони в маточнике соответствуют сезонным ритмам развития растений и формируют отводки в условиях защищенного грунта. Наиболее высокие отводки формировали маточные кусты клоновых подвоев яблони 62-396 и 62-223. Наиболее слабое ветвление отводков отмечено у подвоев 67-5(32), 71-3-150, 70-6-8 (1,0-1,2 балла). Отводки всех изучаемых клоновых подвоев характеризовались хорошо развитой корневой системой. Средняя длина корней у отводков варьировала от 21,9 см (Малыш Будаговского) до 38,1 см (64-143). Наиболее высокий выход отводков 1-го сорта (больше 80%) формировали маточные кусты подвоев 63-396, 62-223, 54-118, 64-143. Выход отводков 2-го сорта варьировал от 1,7% (62-396) до 34,5% (Малыш Будаговского). Наименьший выход нестандартных отводков (меньше 1%) отмечен у форм 62-396 и 57-490.
