MONITORING OF THE EPIZOOTIC SITUATION WITH CATTLE LEUKOSIS IN THE ROSTOV OBLAST

The article presents an analysis of the epizootic situation with cattle leukosis in the Rostov Region for the period from 2019 to 2021. A total of 534408 screening tests for detection of antibodies to cattle leukosis virus were conducted during the analyzed period, with the number of positive results obtained by serological examination (immunodiffusion test method) averaging 5%. In 2019, 176586 tests were conducted and 11623 heads of animals infected with leukosis virus were detected, which was 6.58% of the total number of tested. In 2020, 178181 tests were conducted, 9443 heads of infected animals were detected, which was 5.3% of the total number examined. In 2021 179641 serological tests were carried out and 5877 heads of animals infected with the leukosis virus were detected, which was 3.27% of the total number of tested animals.
