Economic of Producing Shamia Rose in the Governorate of Damascus Countryside and Possibility to Expand its Cultivation with Help of GIS under the Crisies

The Damascene Rose is cultivated in various countries of the world for decorative, medicinal or aromatic purposes, but it is mainly used for the production of rose oil due to its high prices globally. Bulgaria is the main producer of rose oil, with annual oil production ranging between 15-20 tons. )Lawrence, 1991; Farooqi et al., 1994).The cultivation of the Damascene Rose is spread globally in many countries: Bulgaria - France - Turkey - Iran - Greece - India - China - Russia - Syria - Morocco - Egypt. The main production areas are Shiraz, Mashhad in Iran, Isparta in Turkey, and Kazanlak Valley in Bulgaria.)Ozkan ,4002 ( .The research problem lies directly in the current crisis in Syria and the accompanying economic blockade and economic and social changes, which affected the yield and production of this crop, and limit the optimal use of agricultural resources in the production of this crop.As for the importance of the research, it lies in the fact that the studies in the field of producing the Damascene rose are few, especially the economic studies, in addition to the medical importance of this rose. Therefore, the implementation of this research will achieve important scientific and economic results to put it in the hands of decision-makers in order to develop a plan to expand its cultivation, because of its economic importance The results of this research will be a scientific reference provided by research, governmental and university libraries to be available in the hands of researchers and scholars in this field.The results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the Damascene rose sample indicated the following:- The general average of the area owned by the farmer in the Damascene rose sample was 8.22 dunums.- A map of suitable places for expansion in the cultivation of the Damascene rose was produced in the governorate of Damascus countryside using the spatial analysis of a number of specific inputs to be cultivated within the GIS software. The area that could be expanded with the cultivation of the Damascene rose reached 21370.6 hectares, including three rows of land in terms of its ability to cultivate the Damascene Rose, which is excellent and very good.
