The aim of this study is to observe the effect of irrigation water of different salinity level on root development of tomato plant and carried out Atatürk Soil, Water and Agricultural Meteorology Research Institute’s Greenhouses. Irrigation water (T1: 0.38 dS m-1 - T2: 5,0.dS m-1) with two different amounts of salt was used in the study and the root development of the tomato plant was examined at four different depths (0-25, 25-40, 40-55, 55-70, 70-90 cm) were monitored with the aid of a minirhizotron camera. The obtained root images are analyzed with the help of the RootSnap program to calculate the root quantities in 5 different depths as a percentage.
