LLU “Agrihorts” aktuālie pētījumi augu aizsardzībā dārzkopībā

The Institute of Plant Protection Research “Agrihorts” of Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (hereinafter referred to as Agrihorts) began its operation on January 1, 2019, taking over scientific functions from Ltd “Latvian Plant Protection Research Centre” (LPPRC). At this moment Agrihorts specialists are actively involved in several scientific projects, a large part of which is the topic directly related to gardening. In this article, we will present the directions of research started this year, the results of which will be available at the end of the season. Agrihorts took over from LPPRC the forecasting of pests in apple orchards; of 2019 in the end, the network of meteorological stations was restored, and currently, the forecasts of the decision support system RIMpro are provided in 17 different apple orchards in the regions of Latvia. Forecasts are freely accessible to anyone interested on the Agrihorts website http://agrihorts.llu.lv/.
