Woolly whitefly in agrocenoses of citrus crops of Abkhazia and the effectiveness of chemical plant protection products | Шерстистая белокрылка в агроценозах цитрусовых культур Абхазии и эффективность химических средств защиты растений

English. Woolly whitefly (Aleurothrixus floccosus Maskell), is a mandarin pest, first registered in Abkhazia in the spring of 2017. The studies were carried out in 2016-2021 according to generally accepted methods. The distribution and degree of development of this phytophage population in the territory of Abkhazia have been studied. For 6 years this pest has sharply increased and spread throughout all districts of the country. The identification of the pest was carried out in 2020. Most likely, A. floccosus came to Abkhazia with planting material of citrus crops. The first colonies of the woolly whitefly are observed at the end of May - June. The maximum development of the colony is reached by September, with an average density of adults and larvae of 102.2-152.3 ind. per leaf. The biological effectiveness of insecticides of different chemical classes was assessed: organophosphate compounds (Bi-58 top, emulsion concentrate, active ingredient (AI) dimethoate, application rate (AR) 2 L/ha), neonicotinoids (Confidor Extra, water-dispersible granules, AI imidacloprid, AR 0.4 kg/ha and Gazelle, soluble powder, AI acetamiprid, ARs 0.15 and 0.5 kg/ha), chitin synthesis inhibitors (Applaud, wettable powder, AI buprofezin, AR 0 .5 and 1.0 kg/ha). The experiments were laid according in August-September. The plant treatment was carried out in triplicate against the background of pre-treatment with Preparation 30 Plus, mineral oil emulsion (AI vaseline oil), AR of 30 L/ha in the third decade of February. At the beginning of the experiment, one mandarin leaf accounted for an average of 80.2-89.4 specimens of whitefly. From mid-August to the end of September, the number of whitefly colonies in the control increased 1.52 times. The most effective was the use of insecticide Confidor extra, 0.4 kg/ha and variants with increased ARs of insecticides Applaud, 1.0 kg/ha and Gazelle, 0.5 kg/ha (three times treatment). The biological efficiency was 80.0, 86.7 and 85.8%, respectively. An organophosphate insecticide based on dimethoate traditionally used in agrocenoses of citrus crops showed insufficient effectiveness (70.0%).

Russian. Шерстистая белокрылка (Aleurothrixus floccosus Maskell) – вредитель мандарина, впервые отмеченый в Абхазии весной 2017 г. Исследования проведены в 2016-2021 гг. по общепринятым методикам. Изучены распространение и степень развития популяции этого фитофага на территории Абхазии. За 6 лет вид резко нарастил численность и распространился по всем районам страны. Идентификация вредителя была проведена в 2020 г. Скорее всего, A. floccosus попала в Абхазию с посадочным материалом цитрусовых культур. Первые колонии шерстистой белокрылки отмечаются в конце мая-июне, затем следует стремительный рост популяции вредителя. Максимального развития колонии достигают к сентябрю, при плотности имаго и личинок 102,2-152,3 экз./лист. Оценивали биологическую эффективность инсектицидов разных химических классов – фосфорорганические соединения (Би-58 Топ, КЭ, д. в. диметоат, норма расхода (НР) 2 л/га), неоникотиноиды (Конфидор Экстра, ВДГ, д. в. имидаклоприд, НР 0,4 кг/га и Газель, РП, д. в. ацетамиприд, НР 0,15 и 0,5 кг/га), ингибиторы синтеза хитина (Апплауд, СП, д. в. бупрофезин, НР 0,5 и 1,0 кг/га). Опыты были заложены в августе-сентябре. Обработка растений проводилась в 3-кратной повторности на фоне обработки Препаратом 30 Плюс, ММЭ (д. в. вазелиновое масло), НР 30 л/га в III декаде февраля. На начало опыта на 1 лист мандарина приходилось в среднем по вариантам 80,2-89,4 экземпляра белокрылки. С середины августа до конца сентября численность колоний белокрылки в контроле выросла 1,52 раза. Наиболее эффективным оказалось применение инсектицида Конфидор экстра, ВДГ, 0,4 кг/га и варианты с увеличенными нормами расхода инсектицидов Апплауд, СП, 1,0 кг/га и Газель, РП, 0,5 кг/га (3-кратная обработка) – биологическая эффективность составила соответственно 80,0, 86,7 и 85,8 %. Фосфорорганический инсектицид на основе диметоата, традиционно применяемый в агроценозах цитрусовых культур, показал недостаточную эффективность (70,0%).
