The survey showed that the farmers were well aware of the program being implemented. Of the 739 respondents, 511 (69.15%) learned of the program from the BAI (Bureau of Animal Industry) personnel involved with the program implementation; 431 (58.32%) obtained their information from the local town officials and barangay leaders while 193 (26.12%) heard of the program via radio and a small number of them, 10 (1.35%) from various printed media
