Effects of shading and pre-sowing treatments on the germination and growth of giant ipil-ipil

The result indicates that increased temperature of water and opening up a portion of the cotyledon had enhancing effect on the germination of the seeds. Percentage moisture content and height growth increased with increased level of shading, however, effect of pre-sowing treatments and shading on shoot and root development were similar in all treatments. On the other hand, dry matter production decreased with increased level of shading
