German. Conjugated atrazine was localized in atrazine-treated leaf pieces of corn (Zea mays) by immunofluorescence. The atrazine conjugate was found especially around the bundle sheet chloroplasts. An ametryn conjugate was not detectable by the localization technique with anti-atrazine antibodies although these antibodies are able to recognize this herbicide also. This result is a agreement with the specificity studies on the conjugate-forming enzyme glutathione-S-transferase (Guddewar and Dauterman 1979). In control experiments, variants with terbuthylazine which is not recognized by the anti-atrazine antibodies, and untreated variants were examined
