Contribution to the taxonomic study of the genus Doronicum (Compositae) in the Iberian Peninsula

The taxonomic study of the genus Doronicum L. in the Iberian Peninsula is undertaken. D. pardalianches L. is firstly delimited morphologically by means of numerical analysis. Then, the internal variability observed in D. carpetanum Boiss. and Reuter ex Willk. is studied morphologically, palynologically and cytologically. With a second numerical analysis, two taxa with different ploidy levels have been separated: a tetraploid one, distributed in the NW of the Iberian Peninsula, which, according to the proposed lectotypification, would be D. carpetanum, and a diploid one, living in the western part of the Central System, D. kuepferi, sp. nov.
