Improved rapeseed varieties with zero-erucic acid have been grown in the main production areas of Korea since 7-8 years ago. However, the rapeseed oil produced in 1986 in the above area contained 11-47 percent by investigating each seed multiplication step and isolation distance with high erucic acid and low erucic acid varieties. There was no evidence of out-crossing between the high and low erucic acid varieties. The first problem was of contamination of the voluntarily survived plants with high erucic acid recommanded before releasing zero erucic acid varieties
