Feeding value of synthetic amino acid on swine, 3; effects of synthetic lysine addition by different protein levels in diets of finishing pigs

To decide the optimum level of synthetic lysine addition by different protein levels in corn-soybean meal diets of finishing pigs, 96 head of 3 way crossbred were assigned by four levels of lysine (0.5, 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8 %)2048in three levels of protein (10, 12 and 14 %). When the protein levels were 14, 12 and 10 %, dietary lysine levels fortified with synthetic lysine addition for maximum gain was 0.7, 0.6 and 0.5 %, respectively. Mean backfat thickness was similar among lysine levels but increased significantly (p0.05) when the crude protein levels increased. The results of this experiment indicate that the ideal combination crude protein and lysine level for the maximum gain of finishing pigs seems to be 12 % CP and 0.6 % lys
