[Can "suitable" slurry rates be recommended?]

Many publications about slurry use on arable land include suitable slurry rates for different crops. Because of great differences in the nutrient content of various slurries, these recommendations do not comply with the criteria for efficient slurry application without polluting soil and groundwater, which can only be achieved through exact knowledge of the nutrient content of the soil and of the slurry.
