This experiment was conducted to compare storage methods of straws for the treatment of ammonia in relation to the digestible nutrients and economical efficiency. Straws were treated with 3 % anhydrous ammonia (DM basis) in stack, wire mesh (panel) silo, and oven. Metabolism trial was conducted with sheep for the determination of digestible nutrients. Crude protein content was 7.49 % in untreated rice straw and increased 2 times (14.71-16.04 %) after ammonia treatment, while digestible crude protein contents were increased from 2.86 % to 7.82-8.30 % by NH3-treatment
