The author of the paper examined samples of resin collected from seven natural regions of Poland, determined the composition of resin, its physicochemical properties, the content of acid number in colophony, and made analysis of turpentine by chromatographic method. It was stated that the content of turpentine in resin varied with time and place of tapping. The highest content of turpentine (ca 20%) was found in resin collected in May in Northern Poland (at the average 18% for Poland). The determination of the physico-chemical properties of resin ap1100peared to be of little usefulness for its evaluation as raw mate
