The different intercrops used were corn, peanut and munggo which were planted in between two rows of mulberry at the rate of 3 seeds per hill. Effects were not significant on the three intercrops in terms of number of branches, average length of branches and the number of harvestable leaves produced per plant. However, significant effect was obtained on the protein content of mulberry leaf
