Influence of some factors on circadian distribution of calvings in dairy cows

Out of 1,680 parturitions 920 (54.8%) took place during the day. Significantly greater number of calvings occurred between 10.00 and 13.00 and between 2.00 and 5.00. Age, management conditions and time of feeding had only a slight influence on the time of calving. Complicated parturitions were most frequently observed between 24.00 and 7.00
