Vernalization induced an increase in GA level in leaves and stems whereas in shoot apices an elevated level of these hormones was found only in the last developmental stage, i.e. after the formation of flower bud primordia. In all the organs of plants in the phase preceeding the formation of flower bud primordia the GA level was found to be high and then decreased in the phase following primordia formation
