The effects of varying levels of nitrogen and phosphorus on the macro- and micronutrient content and uptake by Acacia auriculaeformis A. Cunn. Ex. Benth seedlings [Philippines]
1987
Belen, R.E.
Acacia auricuolaeformis A. Cunn. Ex. Benth (acacia) seedlings planted in pots containing Carranglan soil were treated with factorial combinations of 0, 30, 60 and 120 kg per hectare of N and P fertilizers. Fertilizer application of 120 kg N per hectare and 30 kg P per hectare increased root dry matter yield of seedlings after six months. Other growth parameters were not significantly affected by the N and P fertilizer treatments. Application of N and P fertilizers increased pH of the soil making Fe, Mn, Cu and Zn unavailable to the plant. Nitrogen fertilization increased Mn content, reduced Cu and Zn contents, and reduced Zn and N uptake of seedlings. Phosphorus fertilization increased the total P, Mg content, P uptake and decreased the Fe, Mn, Cu content, Fe and0871 Zn upt
